I was with you and Alyssa all the way until it came to “compartmentalization” being a “male” thing! First, I always have mixed my food..even to the horror of my children when they were young. Second, I had to decide years and years ago that I would find a profession where my life was “integrated”. where my work was an extension and connection to my family and my faith and not a “compartment” I would go hide within part of every day…….had to listen at end of day when I was tired, and am not being “critical”, just noting that I identified more with what you were saying than what you claimed the stereotypical “male” might find appropriate. Thanks as always for a thought provoking interview.

Love your reflections and distinctions, Richard! Good to know you’re a “mix your food” kinda guy! Doesn’t surprise me at all.
Thank you for listening and taking the time to comment!
