We live in turbulent times. Yet while fear is a powerful emotion, it doesn’t have to overpower our lives. To achieve the goals that inspire you, and to change those areas of your life that don’t, you must be willing to take new actions and embrace new possibilities. Wherever you are right now, however daunting your challenges or strong your fears, every day provides fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and start anew in living more courageously.
Your future is still unwritten. What will determine the story you write will be the choices you make, minute-by-minute, day-by-day, to risk vulnerability and to dare to impact the world in ways that only you can do. What will it take? Courage. Courage to think bigger, to challenge the status quo, to seize the opportunity in your adversity, and to answer the question “What would I do if I were being courageous?” Right now is the perfect time to step forward in the direction your answer beckons. Life rewards action. Live Boldly!

All of us feel unprepared, anxious, even afraid of what lies ahead. But in the end, we mostly all do it the same way….we put one foot in front of the other and then we put the other foot in front of that one…..it is really simple, ridiculously simple. Where you go NEXT makes all the difference. And if you do have to take one step backwards, then just keep going forward after that! Margie offers great advice. Yet even with a coach, or mentor YOU have to get YOURSELF there, no one else can DO IT for you. And you have to start with what ever “hand” you are dealt It is not easy. And the more the deck is stacked against you, the harder you have to work, to fight, to be determined that you will get yourself to that place, where you live your dreams, accept and love yourself, and have your own house in order. I wish I understood why one person “gives up” and another, no matter how unhappy, just keeps re-doubling the effort to find the missing happiness, having faith that there is plenty out there and some way to get to it! None of us KNOW our potential. We only discover it by TRYING our best, our hardest, against any and all odds, by going beyond what seems possible and believing in what seems impossible. To me courage is just putting one foot in front of the other, and never quitting. PS Fritz Perls is a favorite of mine….love his quote, “«Learning is the discovery that something is possible.».

Great insight, Richard. Thank you yet again. I love how you ponder and reflect on the messages our guests so generously share with us. Though I never got beyond my first year of French, I do recall that “heart” and “courage” are beautifully related. When we pour our heart and soul into the effort, putting one foot in front of the other isn’t quite as difficult.
May your words be a blessing to all who visit this page!
With gratitude,
Jory
