Live Your Passion ~ Fulfill Your Purpose
Passion, Joy, Love, and Purpose Are Intertwined!
I know “pet parents” can relate to my reflections on Morgan and Bambino … two of our precious pups who’ve crossed the Rainbow Bridge and who will live in our hearts and memories forever.
Morgan, our boxer, LOVED playing frisbee with anyone anytime, especially with my husband. Sensing when he’d get home from work, Morgan would grab his big red frisbee and patiently wait in the front yard for Dave’s car to come into view. As soon as Morgan spotted him… BOOM! He‘d race around the house to greet him in the driveway, frisbee at the ready. I never saw that sweet dog as crazy happy as when he was chasing and retrieving his magical toy over and over and over again. I never saw him as determined as when he was begging/luring/enticing us to ‘come out and play’!
Our handsome Mo Mo lived his passion and fulfilled his purpose during the six short years he had with us.
And then there was feisty Bambino, our toy poodle.
He was passionate about — us!!! Fiercely loyal, he thought his job, his purpose, was to protect me and my daughters (Jana, Brett, and Becca) from Morgan and Cowboy (our English Cocker Spaniel), from “the bug man” and the Comcast technician, and from anyone else who entered our home. But you know what his purpose really was? To love us unconditionally. No matter what kind of day we were having, no matter what kind of trials we were facing, Bambino was at the ready, eagerly inviting us to pick him up so we could love on him and he could love on us. Somehow, some way, that little boy is still inspiring us “across the miles” to be our best selves. Don’t ask me how. He just is.
Bambino Amore lived his passion — and is still fulfilling his purpose.
What does all this have to do with business?
If you provide a professional service, you have to love what you do to be successful, and you must feel “The Call” in your heart, soul, mind, spirit, and bones !!!
Why?
- You need to remember your passion and purpose whenever you face challenges and obstacles — or You. Will. Quit.
- You need to remember the joyful aspects of your work as you persevere through “that which must get done but you don’t really like” — or You. Will. Quit.
- You need to remember how you will feel if you don’t fulfill your purpose through your business — or You. Will. Quit.
- You need to remember why you do what you do (deep down) — or for sure You. Will. Quit.
A friend of mine, a Christian coach, recently wrote me this:
You know twice I’ve thought of just shutting down, and both times that still small voice said, ‘I have called you to encourage and help others,’ and I just can’t do it!
If you feel called to own a service-based business, make sure your business reflects Your Passion, Your Joy, Your Love, and Your Purpose.
It does? Beautiful. Then get the guidance and support you need — or You. Will. Quit.
Remember Morgan’s patience, determination, and joy.
Remember Bambino’s passion, purpose, and unconditional love.

With Joy and Love,
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. ~1 Peter 4:10

Thanks Jory.. this week I almost shut it down… so being encouraged not only through class with you but also just being reminded that God called me to love others through my coaching and serve Him for the greater Kingdom purposes..every time I do I am blessed. The business side has been so hard… but God is faithful! I lost my beloved Golden in June and my heart is still hurting so thanks for sharing.. she was passionate about her purpose in always being loyal and by my side daily!
