Speaker ~ Trainer ~ Consultant ~ Coach
Jory has enjoyed a diverse career in government, law, education, and entrepreneurship. As an attorney in Virginia for nearly 30 years, she specialized in juvenile delinquency, criminal law, child abuse and neglect, and domestic relations. She also served as a founding faculty member of Liberty University School of Law and as its first Associate Dean for Career & Professional Development.
In 2008, Jory resigned from her position at the law school to launch her own business as a professionally certified life and career coach. Although she was thrilled to work from home and attend more of her children’s activities, she grappled with questions like: How do I attract clients? How much do I charge? How do I run a fulfilling, profitable coaching business? She emerged a few years later as a passionate coach, trainer, and consultant for entrepreneurs who long to make a more meaningful difference in the world – and more money.
In 2012, after raising a blended family of seven children, Jory and her husband Dave moved from Lynchburg, VA to Bel Air, MD. She’s earned several more certifications since then including Professional Certified Coach, Master Certified Christian Coach, Top 6 Business Coach & Startup Expert, and BANKCODE™️ Licensed and Certified Trainer. She now serves as the Executive Director of Admissions for BLU University (an online learning community for committed entrepreneurs) and as the host and organizer of numerous Meetup events in Baltimore.
In addition to successful entrepreneurship, Jory’s passionate about her family and faith, rescue dogs and guinea pigs, and therapeutic horseback riding. She also has a keen personal interest in adult congenital heart disease and multiple sclerosis.
Jory graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University. She received her Master’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College and her law degree from the University of Virginia.
