Jory Hingson Fisher, a native of Washington, D.C., has enjoyed a diverse career in government, law, and entrepreneurship. A Virginia lawyer for nearly 30 years, she served as a public service attorney, the executive director of a regional child abuse prevention center, and as a founding faculty member and associate dean of Liberty University School of Law. After moving to Maryland in 2012, Jory focused her coaching, leadership, and networking skills on helping small business owners excel.
Her professional awards include: Acquisition International’s Most Client-Focussed Business Coach Leader (Washington, D.C., 2023); Alignable’s Local Business Person of the Year (Bel Air, MD, 2018 through 2023); ACHI Magazine’s Woman of Achievement (Baltimore-Washington, D.C., 2019); the D.A.R. Women in American History Award (Lynchburg, VA, 2008); and the Women’s History Month Award presented by the University of Virginia School of Law (Charlottesville, VA, 2006).
Jory’s featured in two books, America’s Leading Ladies and America’s STAR Entrepreneurs, and is a contributing author of The Successful Mind and The Successful Spirit. All four books are available on her Amazon Author Page. A former podcaster, she’s also interviewed hundreds of entrepreneurs on BlogTalkRadio’s Heart & Soul for Women of Faith.
Jory graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University and holds graduate degrees from Middlebury College (Spanish) and the University of Virginia School of Law.
Jory and her husband Dave raised a blended family of seven children before moving to Maryland. Though they’ve both enjoyed living in Harford County, they plan to return to Virginia upon Dave’s retirement.
